Success Tips in Network Marketing

I am willing to bet that the majority of you probably have an image firmly planted in your mind of what network marketing or also known as direct sales is all about–housewives buying and selling Tupperware or other household goods while chit chatting away and eating an assortment of hors d’oeuvres/appetizers, or some high-pressure salesperson trying to convince you how easily you can become a millionaire.

Neither one of these images or any other negative image you may have could be any further from the truth and reality of network marketing. The business is not just a hobby or a get-rich-quick-scheme, it is an opportunity for you to build a part-time or full-time business of your own with a lifetime of residual income.  Keep the following thoughts in mind as you read on, how much you dread Monday, you live for Friday and loathe your job.

Interesting facts from the Direct Selling Association from 2015: (Fact Sheet Here)

  • More than 20 million people (20.2) were involved in direct selling in the United States in 2015 (11% increase over 2014 and 26.7% over 2010)
  • Estimated retail sales reaching $36.12 billion (4.8% increase over 2014)
  • Wellness was the major product area with over $12 billion in sales for 2015

Further to 2015 facts is over 50% of the 20.2 million people involved in Direct Sales were in the 35-54 age range. Almost 30% were under 35 years of age and 18% were over 55.  These numbers prove are just a small sampling of how the opportunity in Network Marketing/Direct Sales appeals to all ages.

But what does it take to succeed in this industry? Vincent J. Kellsey, director of member services for the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance, an organization that provides a variety of resources to women and men in the direct-selling industry, offers these tips for making it:

Choose wisely. There are six key elements you should be looking for [when selecting an opportunity]. Number one: stability. How old is the company? Number two is excellent products or services that consumers will use and need more of.

Number three is the pay plan–how even and fair and generous overall is the distribution? This is really crucial as the pay plan represents exactly how you’ll get paid–or not get paid. There are really only two questions to ask [regarding this]: How many pennies out of each sales dollar get paid back to the distributors each month, and how fair is the distribution of these pennies between the old members and the new members?

Number four is the integrity of the company and the management. As much as possible, [investigate] the experience of the CEO, [their] experience in the network marketing industry, and their background. [Have] they been successful in other companies in the industry? Do they have a good reputation?

Number five is momentum and timing. Look at where the company’s at, what’s going on with the company, and if it’s growing.

Number six is support, training and business systems. You may have [chosen] a great company with excellent management, products that make a difference, a pay plan that’s uniquely fair and very generous, and momentum and stability, but if you don’t have a system in place that works, all of that [doesn’t matter]. Most companies will have a transferable training system that they use, and that’s where mentor-ship comes in.

Practice what they teach. [To succeed,] you need to be willing to listen and learn from mentors. The way this industry is structured, it’s in the best interests of the [MLM veterans in your company] to help you succeed, so they’re willing to teach you the system. Whatever [your mentor] did to become successful, it’s very duplicatible, but you have to be willing to listen and be taught and follow those systems.

The higher-ups. It can be called various things, but the general term is the “upline,” meaning the people above you. How supportive are they? Do they call you? Do they help you put a plan in place? Are they as committed to your success as they are to their own? You should be able to relate to [the people in your upline] and be able to call them at any time to say “I need some help.” How much support there is from the people above you in the company is very important.

Take up the lead with your downline. There’s a term in the network marketing industry called “orphans”–when somebody is brought in and then the person who brought them in is just so busy bringing in other people that they don’t spend the time to teach and train [the new person]. You should be prepared to spend at least 30 days helping a new person come into the industry–training them, supporting them and holding their hand until they feel confident to be able to go off on their own. You really need to ask yourself, are you willing to do that? Are you able to do that? This is really about long-term relationship building. It’s not about just bringing people into the business and just moving forward. It’s about working with these people and helping them to develop relationships.

On the net. People are utilizing [the internet] as their main marketing tool. [You can set up your site] with autoresponders so when you capture leads, the autoresponder can follow up with that person. One of the greatest keys to success in this industry is follow-up. Many people will have someone call them who’s interested or they’ll call the person and say they’re interested, but then they don’t follow up with it. Automation on the internet has allowed a much more consistent method of following up.

The only drawback with the internet is people who utilize it to spam. If there was one thing I could put forward to say, “Do not do” when utilizing the internet as a marketing tool, it’s spamming because that can give a very bad reputation not only to you but also to the company you’re working with.

Taking care of business. This is a business, and just like if you were running a franchise or a storefront, you [should have an] accountant. You have all the same write-offs tax-wise that you have with running a [full-time] business, so it’s very important to [do your research] prior to getting involved, before you start making money from it. How is that going to affect you tax-wise? What are your write-offs?

It’s important to set up a [support] team around you. I’d suggest seeking out lawyers who deal in network marketing, so they’re very versed in all the laws and how that affects [your business.]. There are also accountants who specialize in dealing with homebased businesses specifically in the direct-selling industry.

Don’t quit your day job…yet. Never leave your full-time position unless you’re absolutely certain that the income that’s coming in with this company is going to be there. [Be sure that] you’ve been with the company [for awhile] and that you know it’s a stable company, and the income that you’re earning is equal to or greater than the income you’re earning from your job before quitting.

Behind every great artistic masterpiece and every significant work of literature and music there has always been passion. Behind every innovative company, every earth shattering idea and every achievement that ever changed the world, there has always been passion.  In fact, behind every dream that ever saw its way out of the imagination and into reality, there has always been passion.  And of course, behind every future success you hope to achieve, there must also be passion.  It is not a luxury, but rather a mandate for achieving our dreams.

“Nothing great in the world has been accomplished without passion.” – George Hegel

Being Passionate Is The Fuel To Every One Of Your Dreams

Being passionate is the fuel to every one of your dreams. Whether it is in your personal life or professional life, passion, without a doubt,  is the great transformer in our organizations.  Its power belongs to us all, not just to rock stars, astronauts, firemen or CEO’s featured in the Wall Street Journal, but to anyone who chooses to live a life of purpose.  Passion is what will create the miracles in your life.  As a leader you’ll quickly find that you get what you attract in life, and if you’re passionate about your work you’ll attract passionate people.  It’s a simple law of nature: passion is contagious…and it only takes one individual to get the ball rolling. That individual is the leader – and that leader is you.

What Are You Passionate About?

Follow Your PassionSimply put, passion is that burning fire in our belly that compels us to do more than we ever thought possible.  To be passionate is to be enthusiastic, inspired and motivated for the simple reason that you love what you do or because you want something so badly you will stop at no length to get it.  The same thing happens when you fall in love; the world changes.  When you love what you do, you not only do it more often, but also better, with more intensity, drive and purpose.

Right before I met my mentor in Network Marketing I became passionate about taking control of my health, eating right, and above all, my financial future. I started to study various types of at home business models and they all boast great wealth possibilities, however what I found are the people that are truly successful are the ones that are passionate about the success of their team as well as the products or opportunity they represent.  I have always been passionate about helping others to better their lives and help guide them in the direction of their dreams.  I have always been career minded, often working more than one job at a time in order to take charge of my financial goals, but I never realized that I could do both, turn my career goals into helping people achieve their dreams as well as build upon my future.  I teamed up with one of the industries leading mentors in the business and she helped me focus my passion of helping others as well as having control over my health and financial future.  Getting your life back ignites a passion within you to go out and do more, be more!  The more you start to feel alive again, the more you feel that fire burning in your core and it is contagious to others around you.

Don’t hold yourself back or set your sights low…no matter what it is you are passionate about, weight loss, financial goals, future goals, relationship goals, don’t give up! Keep your enthusiasm.

Success Demands Passion

What Is Business?

Business-Networking-Go-Hand-in-HandSimply put, “Business” is about making someone’s life better.

That’s all business will ever be. The further away a business gets from making its customers’ lives better, the less successful that business will be.

That’s the general idea behind “business”, but what would be YOUR motivation for owning your own business?

  • The security of owner-ship?
  • The opportunity for greater wealth?
  • Gaining time freedom?
  • Is it to help people?

It’s helpful to consider this in the very beginning, because many times a person starts their own business only to lose sight of their original motivation.

Through business ownership, it is possible to improve the lives of others and obtain more freedom and wealth.

Is There A Secret To MLM Success?

There is No Secret to MLM Success

Being successful in MLM is not a huge feat that takes forever. It only takes belief in teamwork, dedication, determination and a strong desire to help others succeed.  I mean let’s not kid ourselves, we all know someone who has failed or is struggling really bad, maybe even YOU.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a cake walk.  You will put in many hours building your business.  Remember, it does not happen over night, you have to work, but two years of hard work in any MLM can pay off for many years to come with a passive and residual income.

As a result of this, people label the industry of MLM or the online marketing system a failure, a pyramid or an outright scam.  MLM success is not rocket science people, it is a true business that has many rewards.

Success in MLM takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and using the right strategies.  Otherwise you are going to waste time and money.   Simply follow your MLM proven training and duplicate it with others and you will achieve massive success in your MLM.

Have The Right Mind For Success in MLM

This is the most powerful of all strategies in order to succeed in MLM simply because if you don’t have the right mindset, you will FAIL.  I can not stress enough how important having a positive outlook is to succeed in any business.  Positivity is so incredibly contagious not just for yourself, but for others as well. You need to surround yourself with positive, like minded individuals in order to stay focused on your vision of success.  Being positive and success go hand and hand with each other.  “An attitude of positive expectation is the mark of the superior personality” ~Brian Tracy

Great Organization Leads To Success

Organization is so key when it comes to having success as well as anything else for that matter. Take a look at people that are all over the place, have you noticed that they never really amount to much? This is because they do not have an actual plan in place. Most people in online business forget they are here to educate people and help solve people’s problems.  People DO NOT like salesman and don’t want another one selling them something. They want to be able to trust a person. Providing value to people will turn into the sales you are looking to achieve in our MLM.

Training Is The Key To Success

The training with your upline is the backbone to your success.  You must do your due diligence and get to know who will be your mentor.  Your mentor/trainor must have a passion for your success as deep as yours.  The training must be duplicate-able so that your future business partners become a mirror image of you.  There is always something to be learned when it comes to success, but the training must be duplicate-able.  How you perform is related to how your upline performs in order to be the next upline. (Do you see a pattern here?)  Don’t rely on your direct sponsor if they are not helping you, go higher up the line or across line to find someone who will!  It is all about teamwork and this is about your MLM business.  Always take advantage of any training and networking opportunities to be connected with like minded individuals that will support your desire to be successful.

Success in MLM is Based On Numbers

It does not matter what you are doing online or offline, building a successful business in MLM is all about how many people you expose to your business.  The more people that are exposed to your opportunity, the higher your odds will be in people joining your business.  People are RARELY going to sign up the first time they see something.  People on average have to be exposed to your opportunity more than 5 times before they will sign up, and that is IF they sign up!  This is crazy isn’t it?  People’s lives change and their circumstances change, so just because they say “NO” right now, does not mean they will say “NO” in the future.  Stay consistent and always stay positive.  People come around by the example you set.  Remember, people are attracted to positive, successful people. (Just like a magnet) It really is contagious…remember it is the amount of people your business is exposed to, not you!

 What MLM Companies Are Successful?

A successful MLM can be identified from a wide variety of things.  The most obvious being do they have a consumable product, their leadership experience and above all (the reason we get involved in network marketing and direct sales) an unparallelled compensation plan.

Let me ask you this, do you want to be part of a company that is online, has proven and duplicate-able training, an unprecedented compensation plan, and above all truly cares for you AND your success?  If you can answer yes to those questions about the MLM you are looking at, then you are looking at a MLM that is and will be successful.

To your massive success! Allan

How to Choose the Right Network Marketing Company

Which Door Will Be The Best Opportunity For You To Open

Evaluating network marketing companies can be an overwhelming and daunting task. However, it is well worth the effort to insure that your time, money and reputation are not wasted on trying to build a business with a company that will not be here in the future.  Being in business for yourself is very rewarding, but it takes a lot of work and you must start with evaluation.

I know you will find the following guidelines to be invaluable in helping you select a company that you will be proud of and that will provide for you the level of lifetime residual income that you aspire to achieve and pass on to your family.

There are four main areas to evaluate. First, you’ll want to look at the company. Who are the management leaders of the company?  What are their founding principles?  What are their areas of expertise to lead this company? Is there a clear vision for the future? Do they function with integrity, and can you prove it? Is this the company and are these the people that you want to align yourself with?

Second, you’ll want to look at the products. How will the products benefit people?  Does the company rely on outside research and development of the products or do they do it for them-self? Does the company have a patent on their formulas?  Does the company do their own manufacturing? What does the company do in order to provide quality control procedures? Are the products highly consumable…meaning that people use and reorder on a monthly basis, and become loyal to? Do the products have a positive impact on people’s lives?

The third issue is timing and trends…timing in the industry, as well as timing in the company. Is the industry just now emerging as a growth industry? Does the company have a history of solid growth…not one that is declining, or flattened out in terms of growth?  How relevant is the company to the needs of society?

And, the 4th, like all businesses, is the compensation plan. How do you make money? And, is it fair for the individual who is working on a part-time basis…someone who wants to make an extra few hundred dollars per month, and beyond that… will it pay an individual $10,000, $20,000, or more per month…for the people who really want to go out and create wealth and financial freedom?  How does this company’s compensation compare to others? What makes it unique while being fair?

Don’t overlook or make short of this process! Trust your findings! Ie know that if any one of these areas is lacking, your chance for success is cut in half. Which means you’ll have to work twice as hard to be successful. If any two of these areas are lacking, you will suffer and regret your decision.

Be sure you do your homework first before you make the decision to partner with a specific company and invest your time and energy.  The industry is real, and it continues to grow, you will too if you lay the foundation.

Avoiding MLM Scams While Looking For A Home Based Business

Choosing a Home Based Business can mean wading through pools of scam artists and get rich quick schemes. Many people try to make their living by deceiving others. They present an attractive package, a catchy headline and details that seem too good to be true.

Proverbs tells us that wealth gotten quickly will be squandered quickly. Old fashioned hard work and ingenuity is still your best bet to obtain financial security. If it seems too good to be true, it is. Be wary of any company that asks for money up front without personal contact, clear details or a money back guarantee.

Many business classified as multilevel marketing business can be found. They find their way into your spam email folder, your mailbox and your telephone during dinner. They base their system on being able to convince others to pay a membership fee to sign up and then go out and recruit other poor suckers to do the same. The only people who make any substantial money are those skilled enough to lie their way to the top of sucker tree. Once at the top, they collect a large portion of the membership fees from new recruits. They claim that once you climb the ladder of lies to a higher level, you can choose to sit back and reap the benefits of the labor of others. While it may be legal in most states, it definitely is not morally correct to benefit from the naivete and hard work of others.

While these businesses in essence are deceitful, they are clever in their dishonest tactics. They operate under the guise of a legitimate sales business. Sometimes the products being sold are of good quality and are worth the asking price. It is the multilevel structure of the business that is dishonest. Many recruiters will use the legitimate business of sales to justify the deceptive multilevel marketing details of their contract.

The sad truth is that most new recruits pay the membership fee, purchase a starter kit of products for sale, buy books written by other business owners in the MLM and fork out large amounts of money for supplies, training materials, seminars and travel expenses before discovering the truth about their position on the MLM food chain. By the time those duped come to their senses, the money is long gone and the “business partners” have made themselves scarce. The bottom line of the checkbook doesn’t lie.

Multilevel marketing scams are often sought after by trusting individuals with a desire to earn extra income and better themselves personally. The tragic experience of the MLM scam can turn hardworking individuals against the ides of starting a legitimate home based business.

7 Ways To Reach Your MLM Goals

Setting goals for your mlm company are important, but they are nothing if you don’t follow through with them. Setting the goals is the first step of the process while doing it is the ongoing process. Here are 7 things you can do to reach your mlm goals.

1. Envision your dreams

The best way to stay motivated with your mlm company is to envision what you would like life to be like. If you can be faithful to your dreams and stay true to your goals you will have a better chance at accomplishing them.

2. Hang around successful people

There is a myth that you are who you hang around with. If you can surround yourself with successful people you will pick up tips, advice, and an overall attitude that you can and will succeed with your mlm company.

3. Listen to motivational tapes

If you continue to pound it in your head that you can do it and you will attain your goals you will. Listening to motivational tapes and attending motivational speakers will help you gain confidence in yourself and become fearless of the task that lies ahead of you.

7 Reasons Why A Network Marketing (MLM) Business Is The Best Kind Of Business To Own

A lot of people are down on network marketing businesses (also known as multi-level marketing or MLM), but I’d like to give you 7 reasons why a network marketing business is the best kind of business to own.

1. Your chances for success are better in network marketing.

Yes, some people fail at it. In MLM or network marketing, you will often find that 20% of the people are making 80% of the money. Do you know what? That is exactly the same as the church I belong to– 20% of the people who attend are actively involved and do 80% of the work that needs to be done.

I’m not surprised that it is similar in MLM. People are people. Some of the people who fail at network marketing are not motivated, some aren’t cut out for self employment, some are in the wrong company for them, and some are just not properly trained. But a motivated and trained person in a good company has a great chance of succeeding in their business.

On the other hand, if you start a “traditional” business your odds of success are much lower. According to the SBA, at least 50% of small businesses fail in their first year and 95% fail within the first five years. So, after 5 years of 12 hour days, in debt up to your eyeballs, you only have a 5% chance of succeeding. For some reason that just doesn’t do it for me.

7 Poor Reasons to Get Involved in MLM

Network marketing, or “MLM” can be a great way to earn everything from a small additional income to a generous full time living.

However, many people join mlm type opportunities without really knowing what they are getting themselves in to. This is probably one of the biggest reasons for the fact that some people have very low thoughts about this type of business.

Mlm works if you do it right. Period. That said, here are seven really poor reasons for enrolling in a network marketing opportunity:

1) Earning “easy money”

I know – the mlm-companies are very good a promoting their business as a simple 1-2-3 process that anyone can do and become an instant millionaire. Especially online it has almost become a standard to use super long and totally over hyped sales letters.

This is the equivalent of claiming that anyone who can open a can of beans can be a master chef.

Don’t get me wrong, I do think most people CAN make it in mlm if they put their minds to it. But you must be prepared to learn many new things and you WILL have to work for it. Make no mistake about that!

How to Recruit Distributors to Sell for You

Everyone dreams of owning a super money-making business where other people do all the work, and their only duties involve the approval of sales and bank deposit slips. It’s the only way to go as a business owner.

The problem is however, not too many people seem to know how to “put together” such a business. What you’re really talking about is an operation where you supply the product and other people do the selling-A prime source with a dealer or distributor network.

Assuming that you have the product, you’ll also need a sales kit and plenty of impressive, eye-catching promotional materials. If you don’t supply or offer to supply materials with which your sales force can sell the product, you’ll have a hard time enlisting people to sell for you, and you probably won’t set any sales records relative to your product either.
